Today I will show you how to make this cute sakura bookmark. It's a quick and easy project, perfect for all the bookworm crocheters out there >.< I hope you enjoy this pattern as much as I do ^^

Weight 1 yarn (lace) in pink and brown
2mm & 2.5mm hook
Scissors
Tapestry Needle
2. Abbreviations:
MR: Magic Ring
ch: chain
sc: single crochet
hdc: half double crochet
slst: slip stitch
3. Pattern:
a. Sakura (x2):
use 2mm hook and pink yarn
R1: MR, ch. 1, (sc, ch. 4) in the same space, repeat 4x more (total 5 petals), slst
R2: (sc, hdc, ch. 2, slst, ch. 2, hdc, sc, slst) in the same space, repeat 4x more (total 5 petals), slst
Repeat the same steps and make the 2nd sakura
b. Stem:
use 2.5mm hook and double pull brown yarn (optional)
ch. 65
Attach stem to the wrong side of the sakura, and with the wrong side facing each other, join both sakura petals.
Wrong side Right Side
c. Ball:
use 2mm hook and pink yarn
MR, sc x6 (6), slst
ch. 1, inc x6 (12), slst
ch. 1, dec x6 (6), slst
Insert the stem to the ball, pull the yarn and close the circle. Don’t forget to weave the ends, and you’re done! <3
